Locations

Two towns, and a National Park on the doorstep of all four houses.

Chesterfield

Three of our four houses are in Chesterfield — Brampton Terrace and Chatsworth Terrace in S40, and Tapton View in S41. It is a practical, central base: the town centre and its market are close, the shops on Chatsworth Road are a few minutes away, and the railway station puts Sheffield, Derby and Nottingham within easy reach. Tapton View is under five minutes from the station.

For anyone working in north Derbyshire it is well placed for sites across the county, with the Peak District ten to twenty minutes to the west.

Sheffield

City Oaks sits in S2, about five minutes from the train station and within walking distance of the city centre. It is convenient for the business districts, the universities and the hospitals, and it has free off-road parking for two cars with further on-street parking covered by CCTV — worth knowing if you are leaving a works van overnight.

Sheffield is the only English city with a National Park inside its boundary, so the moors are genuinely close.

The Peak District

Every house is within ten to twenty minutes of the National Park. Walking, cycling, climbing and long days out on the moors and in the dales — it is the reason a lot of our short-break guests come in the first place.

If you want to know where to go for a particular kind of day out, just ask when you book. We live here.
